About

One Mission.
Many Churches.

The Covington Baptist Association is a family of diverse congregations. We are made up of many churches that vary in size, context, and the unique communities they serve. Despite these differences, we are bound by a single, powerful conviction: We Will… TOGETHER!

The Symbolism of Our Mission

Our identity is captured in our logo—a visual representation of our theological commitment to one another and to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Unity in Diversity

The two trees in our logo represent both our larger and smaller churches. While they differ in scale, they stand side-by-side. We believe every church, regardless of its budget or membership count, plays an essential role in the life and work of the association.

The Upward & Outward Call

The trees are formed by arrows pointing toward the heavens and the horizon. This reflects the Great Commission—Jesus’ command to “go.”

To the Ends of the Earth

You will notice four distinct arrows. These symbolize our biblical mandate to take the Gospel to our “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

Why We Associate

No single church is meant to carry the weight of the Great Commission alone. The mission of the Gospel moves outward from our local doorsteps in Covington County to our communities, across the state, the nation, and the world.

The Covington Baptist Association exists to:

  • Strengthen the health of the local church.

  • Support the leaders who shepherd our congregations.

  • Send our people into the mission field with the resources they need.

Rather than highlighting individual accolades, we choose to unite under one shared identity. We are many churches, but we are one body with one mission: to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
