Ministry Training Institute

The Ministry Training Institute is a non-degree program of biblical, theological, and practical ministry courses that equip students for service to God. Courses are offered both online (zoom) and in person (in the meeting room at the CBA building,) led by qualified instructors and experienced instructors, biblically based, and administered with the highest integrity.

Diplomas: The extension network offers 32 courses of standardized curriculum and awards diplomas recognizing four levels of achievement. Students who complete 8 courses are awarded the Diploma in Biblical Studies. The Advanced Diploma in Biblical Studies is awarded for 16 courses. The Biblical Studies Diploma of Distinction is awarded for 24 courses. Students who complete all 32 courses receive the Biblical Studies Diploma of Superior Achievement and may audit any courses already taken for free.

Each course consists of a minimum of 24 instructional hours, generally offered in an eight-week course with 3 instructional hours per week. There are typically four terms per year, two in the Fall and two in the Spring.

Tuition: Tuition for the course and the cost of the textbook is covered by Covington Baptist Association. We ask that those enrolling in each class, to make the commitment to complete the course they have enrolled in.

Program Goals: To train Christians to faithfully minister God’s Word; To strengthen fellowship in local churches and communities; To provide opportunities to pursue God’s call to serve his church; To reach our neighbors and the nations with the love and grace of Christ; To instill joy in those who serve Christ and his church.
