First Baptist Church of Opp, Alabama is prayerfully seeking a full-time pastor.
We are seeking a man of deep Christian faith who exemplifies the Southern
Baptist Biblical standards, pastoral leadership qualities, and has a vast ministry
vision.  This person must possess a genuine spirit, love to spend time with the
church congregation, and is a natural at “shepherding the flock.”  At FBC Opp,
we have a “Passion for God and a Compassion for People.”  Our congregation is
a family that strives to live life together by cheering for each other, by challenging
each other to be better, and by encouraging one another.  Our church is strongly
rooted in the community of approximately 6,500 residents; therefore, our
community greatly supports all our area churches. FBC Opp is a member of the
local Covington County Ministerial Association.   This association allows
churches to join and support ministry objectives, events, and church visions.
Opp is home to our beautiful award-winning Lake Frank Jackson State Park and
events such as our nationally known Rattlesnake Rodeo, Opp Fest, and 4 th of
July fireworks.
